Jane and I decided that we wanted to see the beach and some jungle while we were in Costa Rica so we hoped in a cab with our friends Brian and Layne and headed to Manuel Antonio. Manuel Antonio is a national park known for its wildlife and pristine beaches. There was a small beach town right near the entrance of the park and we easily found a place to stay and had a delicious lunch of rice and beans before heading out into the jungle. We immediately ran into some wildlife and tried to keep our eyes peeled for more. After a short hike we came upon one of the most beautiful secluded beach I have ever seen. It was paradise. Monkeys were everywhere. Brian and I jumped in the warm water and we swam for a while and then explored the rocky shores. It reminded me of my last trip to Costa Rica. The park closed at 4 so we went to a local market, got some beers and headed to the public beach. I watched one of the most amazing sunsets I have ever seen, the sun dipping into the sea as the sky exploded with reds and oranges. The next day we grabbed the boogie boards provided by our hotel and spent the day catching waves and soaking in the sun. Pura Vida.
