This is a quick shot of one of the many areas of the Agra Fort. A walled city once full of valuables that was extremely important due to its central location. The legend is that Akbar made it his capital and built the city up with red sandstone. His grandson Shah Jahan then finished the city in white marble and precious jewels. Shah Jahan is the man who built the Taj Mahal in tribute to his wife. Later Shah Jahans son, in thirst of power, imprisoned his father in the fort. It is rumored that later Shah Jahan died in the tower on a marble balcony that looked out to the Taj Mahal.
